What is Anodyne Therapy?
Anodyne® Therapy is an Infrared Therapy Device that is applied in direct skin contact to any area of the body. Indications
What conditions does Anodyne Therapy help?
Anodyne® Therapy is cleared by FDA for temporarily increasing circulation and reducing pain, stiffness and muscle spasm. Therefore, any condition that would benefit from these indications may benefit from the effects of this infrared therapy device. Reimbursement

Anodyne Therapy is a PT Modality, thus there is no extra reimbursement for treatments since all reimbursement is under prospective payment (PPS). |

| Part B Outpatient Treatment or Residents in Nursing Homes |

CPT Code 97026: Infrared Therapy Modality is not reimbursable for some conditions. You must call your local fiscal intermediary as policies vary by area. |
| Part A Inpatient Treatment in Hospitals or Short-Term Stay Nursing Homes |
| • |
There is no extra reimbursement for Anodyne Therapy treatments in inpatient rehab settings since they are covered under prospective payment (PPS) |
